Dr Harold Robers is a USA-trained clinical psychologist, marriage and
family therapist and EMDR trained, with more than 20 years of
professional experience. He engages in therapeutic work with both
Western expatriates and Asians. He has been trained in a variety of
approaches including: psychodynamic, gestalt, cognitive-behavioural, EMDR therapy, marriage,
family & child and bio-feedback therapies. Dr Robers also
provides psychological assessment and consultation services to
children, adolescents, adults, organisations and statutory boards. He
trains and provides supervision to professional psychologists and
therapists as well as lectures at several tertiary level institutions.

Mrs. Ann Robers is a USA trained psychotherapist in individual, couples
and family therapy, with almost 20 years of professional experience in
both short –term and long term work. She has worked extensively with
children, adolescents, couples and adults, and provides employee
assistance counseling. She utilizes a variety of therapeutic methods
including psychodynamic, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing
(EMDR), schema therapy, client-centered marriage and family systems,
and cognitive behavioral methods. Besides psychotherapy, she has done
training for different groups of population: teachers, parents,
students & couples.

Emily Cheah joined Psycare in
2001. She provides counselling and psychotherapy and is involved in
psychological assessments for children and adults. Emily engages with
individuals and couples to find meaning, resolution and personal
empowerment in the following areas: self identity and relationship,
family of origin issues, trauma, life transitions. She is committed to
helping individuals address specific concerns and/or personal growth
and development. Emily’s therapeutic approach is integrative and
person-centred. She uses psychodynamic, gestalt and mind-body therapies
with a focus on family of origin and inner child work. She is currently
working on completing training in EMDR
therapy. She has interest in integration of spirituality and
psychology.
Emily graduated with a Master in
Social Science (Counselling) from Edith Cowan University and a Graduate
Diploma in Psychology from the University of Southern Queensland. She
also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.

Yvonne
Lek

Sc. (Counselling)
Yvonne Lek was trained as a
teacher and taught in St. Margaret’s Primary School for a number of
years before joining the Ministry of Education as a Guidance Officer.
In her work as a guidance
officer, she has been actively involved in the development of
courseware and the training of teachers in areas pertaining to social
and emotional development, career guidance and psychological
well-being. Yvonne has also worked extensively with students who have
emotional and behavioural difficulties, often involving their families
and caregivers in the process. She has offered consultation to schools
in the areas of case management, programme development and
implementation.
Yvonne conducts training for
companies, educational institutions, statutory boards and religious
organisations in areas such as counselling skills, pedagogy and
andragogy.
Yvonne graduated with a Master
of Social Science in Professional Counselling from Swinburne
University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education and an Advance
Post-Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling from the National
Institute of Education.

Silvia Fontanella

Silvia holds a doctorate in
Clinical Psychology from James Cook University, and a Bachelors degree
in Psychology (Honours) from the University of Geneva (Switzerland).
She has former training experiences in both private practice and
outpatient medical facilities. Silvia integrates in her work principles
of cognitive-behavioural therapy, motivational interviewing and
psychodynamic theories. She is also trained in EMDR (Part 1 and 2).
Silvia believes that to achieve
a healthy balance and personal growth,
it is paramount to consider how the body and mind influence, and
interact with one another. Her focus is on helping children and adults
overcome clinical or behavioural problems that they experience in their
day-to-day lives, as well as overcoming traumas or negative childhood
experiences. Silvia is also experienced in educational and
psychological assessments for children in the diagnosis of dyslexia,
ADHD, autism and other disorders.
Silvia has been living in
Singapore for more than nine years, where she
works with both the expatriate and local community. She is interested
in cross-cultural psychology and cultural adjustment issues. She is
fluent in English, Italian and French.

Yih Sze is a trained
psychotherapist / counsellor, with more than 17 years of experience in
corporate management, management consulting, people development, career
development and individual coaching. At corporate level engagements,
her work focuses on bringing out the best in individuals and systems to
facilitate organization development and transformation. Her experience
spans across industries such as information technology, investment,
public service, healthcare and design.
In therapy, Yih Sze exudes a
deep understanding and respect of each person's individuality and
unique physical, psycho-social and spiritual context. She empowers
individuals and couples with skills and emotional resources to heal
traumas, navigate through current distresses, find closure, develop
resilience and achieve personal growth. Each session is an intuitive
and individualized blend of therapeutic approaches such as
solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, reality
therapy, TA, EMDR and energetic healing techniques with principles of
constructive psychotherapy, psychodynamic and inner child work.

Adrienne holds a Masters in
Psychology (Clinical) as well as a Post Grad Diploma in Marital and
Family Therapy. She has over 10 years of experience working with
children, youth and adults on issues like behavioural modification,
mood disorders, anxiety, adjustment and other clinical matters. Her
specialization is in working with children, youth/youth-at-risk and
their families through counselling and other therapeutic interventions.
Adrienne also provides psycho-educational and psychological assessment
for children and adults. She has had training experiences and has
conducted training for a range of agencies including voluntary welfare
organizations.

Kaiwei is a
psychotherapist/counsellor trained with a Masters of Social Science in
Professional Counselling from Swinburne University of Technology, and a
Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) degree in Psychology from
National University of Singapore. She works with adults, children and
youths across a broad range of emotional and behavioral issues, and is
experienced in both individual and group therapy settings in her past
work across various schools in Singapore.
As an integrative therapist,
Kaiwei brings in a blend of
person-centered, psychodynamic, solution-focused, and cognitive
behavioral approaches in her work, and holds special interest in using
various experiential platforms in ways that are meaningful to clients.
